Inauguration of the R.S Foundation was held on 27.2.22 at R.S. House at 31 Regunathapuram. The program of the opening ceremony consisted of salutation, lighting of Kuthu Vilakku lamp, welcome address, keynote address, book release, speech by special guests and vote of thanks.
R.S. The foundation opening ceremony started on 27.2.22 at 10 o'clock with a Tamil Thai greeting. To make the event auspicious, a lighting ceremony was held. R.S. Foundation Chairman G. Karthikeyan, Treasurer, Secretary and members lit the lamp.
R.S. Gunasekaran welcomed all those who attended the event. Two special guests graced the occasion online. The Treasurer of the Trust welcomed the Chairman, the Secretary and all the members under it. Special guests Mrs.Bhagirathi Moses, Senior Professor, Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Eastern University, Sri Lanka were also warmly welcomed.
Srithara Ganesan, who is getting a unique place among the writers of Tamil Nadu, was also warmly welcomed. Jayanthi Karthik, a budding young writer, was also welcomed. And those who directly participated in the event and connected to the event online, professors from various fields, students, and enthusiasts were all welcomed.
Following the reception, Karthikeyan, Chairman of the R.S Trust, presided over the function and gave a Presidential Speech. He gave a speech about the purpose of establishing the foundation and how the activity of mass in learning will be taken to this society. He addressed the ongoing activities under the foundation and their VISION and MISSION.
Following the keynote speech by Chairman, Books published on behalf of the Foundation. Three books were published on different topics. An international conference was held on the theme of Tamil Literature's Advancement of Life. Professors from various fields, Tamil Enthusiasts and research students presented papers for this seminar. The presented papers were organized Published and released as a book with ISBN number titled "Tamil Literature Advancing Life”.
Writers from various fields contributed short stories to the Sangama kathaigal book. The short stories given by them have been compiled and published as a book with ISBN number as "Sangama Kathaigal". Various activists and students contributed poems to the book "Sangama Kavithaigal". Their poems have been compiled and published as a book with ISBN No. Karthikeyan, the chairman of the foundation, had published these three books. He sent them to R.S. Treasurer and Secretary Members of the Foundation received the books.
Following this, Mrs.Bhagirathy Moses, the special guest, attended and delivered a special speech as the special guest of the International Seminar on "The Life of Tamil Literature". Regarding Tamil literature, she gave a special speech by reviewing the ideas of the professors, research students and activists who gave essays through those literatures.
Among the essays submitted by PhD students in Tamil, the best three essays were selected and awarded prize money. All those who presented articles were also felicitated with books and certificates.
Writer Sreethara Ganesan gave an excellent lecture on the concepts of Sangama Kathaigal and Sangama Kavithaigal.. He delivered a keynote address to encourage budding young writers and their works. Books were given to all creators who sent stories and poems. At the end of the program a vote of thanks was given to honor all those who participated in the function.
